Combat Actions
In battle, your party members must work together to defeat monsters.
You will gain more abilities to use in battle as you progress through the story and raise the levels of your characters.
Friend Actions
These are powerful attacks you can use with your party members.
To perform Friend Actions, attack a stunned enemy with an item that matches the displayed icon.
Friend Actions can only be performed after they are learned via the Skill Tree.
You can enhance Friend Actions via the Skill Tree to increase the number of times you can use them while an enemy is stunned (max 3 times).
Guarding and Evading
You can avoid taking damage from enemies by guarding and evading.
Guard
You take less damage from enemies while you are guarding.

Precision Guarding
By pressing the guard button at the same time as an enemy attacks, you will perform a Precision Guard, greatly reducing the damage you take.
Cooldowns do not refresh while you are guarding.
Evade
You can evade attacks by moving while you are guarding.
Using a skill directly after evading increases stun damage by 1.
Successfully evading an attack not only reduces the damage you take to 0, it also boosts your Battle Rate.

Precision Countering
Hitting an enemy with a Precision Counter will greatly reduce their stun symbols.
The moment after evading, your character will flash green for a moment. Swapping to another character in that moment will initiate a Precision Counter.
Precision Counters can only be performed after being learned via the Skill Tree.
Mana Surge
A special, powerful state your characters can enter.
When environmental mana reaches 100%, press the following buttons to activate Mana Surge.

If a character is KO'd during Mana Surge, they will become "mana exhausted" and can no longer be revived during the battle.
Only characters at level 50 and above can use Mana Surge.
Surge Skills
Surge Skills are powerful skills only usable during Mana Surge.
Environmental mana will continuously drain while you are using Surge Skills.
Once environmental mana reaches 0%, the character's HP will begin to drain instead.
Maximized Mana Surge
A powerful special move unique to each party member.
Press the buttons below during Mana Surge to activate.
After using Maximized Mana Surge, you will be unable to accumulate environmental mana for a while.
