Support Items
Set the restorative and support items to use in combat.
You can set up to four items, and they can be used by anyone in your party.
You can select items from your container when at a base or from your basket when somewhere else.
Restorative and support items can be used while guarding.
These settings are shared by all party members.
Certain skills on the Skill Tree will allow you to set more items.

Party
Change the formation your party assumes in combat.

Front Row
These party members fight enemies head-on.
You can position up to three characters here.
The character marked "Player" is the one you control at the start of battle.
Back Row
Characters in the back row can hop to the front row when you swap characters or jump in for Perfect Counters.
You can position up to three characters here.
Tactics
Press the following buttons to change the tactics each character uses.

There are two kinds of tactics: Presets and Custom.
Presets allow you to further choose from the four following types of combat tactics.
Tactics Presets
Default | Allows the character to fight freely. |
---|---|
Aggressive | The character prioritizes attacking. |
Evasive | The character prioritizes evading. |
Support | The character prioritizes using support/restorative items. |
Custom allows you to freely set the tactical priorities of a character, including range priority, slot priority, etc.
