Creating bases in building areas across the overworld will give you a leg up during your adventure.
Building can also be conducted in the atelier.
About Building
Building allows you to freely arrange objects, bases, and more while inside building areas.
Facilities can only be placed in building areas near Mana Circulators.
Building Areas
Places in the overworld where the ground glows orange are building areas.
While inside a building area, select Building 
from the radial menu to get started.
Comfort Level
The Comfort Level is an index of how comfortable an area is, based on the objects, bases, etc. you choose, and how you place them.
By raising the Comfort Level to a certain amount, you can gain bonuses such as furniture blueprints. You can also gain bonus effects from resting in bed at a base.
The bonus effects vary from base to base.
