Tips for Beginners Actions
Lock on First
When fighting, be sure to make a habit of using these controls to lock on to the enemy.
Lock on to an enemy to center them and make attacking and dodging easier. Locking on to an enemy also shows their Life and Ki, giving you a firmer grasp of the situation.

Guard and Observe
When fighting an enemy for the first time, rather than attacking haphazardly, it's best to keep your defense up by guarding and observe the enemy's behavior.
You can use the controls below to guard and withstand attacks to a certain degree.
When an enemy finishes their attack, they will be open to a counterattack. Watch your opponent carefully to get a sense of their movements.

Keep Ki in Mind
Attacking enemies or guarding against their attacks will consume Ki. If you run out of Ki, you will be unable to attack or guard, and being hit by an enemy attack in this state will knock the wind out of you, rendering you immobile and highly susceptible to attacks.
Keep a distance from enemies and refrain from attacking and guarding to recover your Ki.
When in Samurai Style, use the following controls to perform a Ki Pulse and recover some of the Ki consumed to attack.

The Two Styles
In Samurai Style, the amount of Ki lost from guarding is reduced, and Ki Pulses allow you to recover Ki.
Ninja Style enables you to dodge effectively and attack from afar using Ninjutsu.
Use the style that you find easiest to fight with. Once you become accustomed to fighting, try utilizing both styles to adapt to a variety of situations.
