Online Play
Online mode boasts a variety of features that enable you to have fun with other players.
Note: Cross-platform multiplayer is not supported.
Bloody Graves
These are other players' graves, and can be used to call forth Revenants—other players who have turned into yokai—to fight against. Revenants are strong, and by defeating them you can obtain Ochoko Cups and equipment. Additionally, Bloody Graves record their owner's cause of death, which can help provide hints for your mission.
Bloodedge Demons
Bloodedge Demons are extremely powerful yokai spawned from the accumulated grudges of slain Revenants. Unconfined to a single location, they appear in different places over time.
If you can defeat these monstrosities, you will obtain many rare items, as well as the equipment contained within the nearby Bloody Grave.
Benevolent Graves
Righteous Jasper
By using Righteous Jasper, you can leave behind a Benevolent Grave and help other players. If other players use the Benevolent Grave, you will receive rewards.
You can collect these rewards by going to "Preparations" in the Shrine menu, then "Boons."
Visitors
"Co-op" can be selected from the Shrine menu.
When playing in Co-op mode with a Visitor, Co-op will end when the mission's goal is achieved or if either the host or Visitor dies.
Summoning Visitors
You can request help from other players online by offering an Ochoko Cup at a shrine during a mission. Players who answer your request will appear as visitors to assist you. Up to two Ochoko Cups can be offered at a time, allowing up to three players to play together at once.
Becoming a Visitor
You can offer help to other players online as a Visitor. However, you cannot play any missions that you have yet to clear yourself. Additionally, as a Visitor, you cannot open any doors or chests.
As a visitor, you can obtain equipment based on your own strength rather than the level of the mission you joined. You can also obtain Ochoko Cups and a large amount of Glory that can be used in clan battles and elsewhere.
Expeditions
"Co-op" can be selected from the Shrine menu. It can be played by up to three players.
Even if a player dies during an Expedition, they can be revived via the grave they leave behind as long as the Assist Gauge is not fully depleted. Players can also revive on their own, but reviving with the assistance of other players will have less impact on the Assist Gauge.
If a player dies while the Assist Gauge is fully depleted, the mission will end in failure.
Additionally, during Expeditions, the amount of Amrita and Glory earned increases according to the number of enemies you defeat.
Story Mode
This mode allows the host to progress the story in their world.
In this mode, all companions' Life will be restored when the host prays at a shrine. All companions will also be transported to said shrine, and enemies will respawn.
Additionally, only the host can use Fast Travel.
Mission Mode
In this mode, you can play completed missions and unlocked side quests.
In this mode, only the player who prays at a shrine will recover Life, and each shrine can only be used to recover Life once.
Unlike in Story Mode, praying at a shrine neither transports other players to the shrine nor respawns enemies.
Hidden Teahouse
This function can be found in the Eternal Rift. By progressing in the game and joining a clan, you can take part in clan battles.
Eight hours after joining a clan, you can also transfer allegiances to a different clan.
Clan Battles
Each clan's players are divided into a red and a white camp. These camps compete to earn the most Glory over a certain period of time.
The winning camp is rewarded with a large amount of Glory.
Glory
Glory can be obtained in the following ways:
- - Becoming a Visitor
- - Going on Expeditions
- - Defeating Revenants
Glory can be traded for items.
