Driving Off Wraiths

Focal Points

5200_10_01

Once a wraith has been marked, the focal points begin to shine red. The more focal points are shining, the greater the damage you will deal.
You will inflict extremely heavy damage on a wraith when there are multiple focal points on the screen and the wraith is in focus and shot head-on.

Fatal Frame

5200_20_01

The center of the Camera Obscura's filament (the Fatal Frame indicator) will flash violently when a wraith moves in to strike. This is called a Fatal Frame, and a well-timed shot will send the wraith reeling back.

Shutter Chance

If the damage exceeds a certain amount, a Shutter Chance occurs, during which the wraith can be dealt significant damage. The Shutter Chance will end after the wraith has been shot once, or after a certain amount of time elapses.

Fatal Time

Shooting a Fatal Frame during Shutter Chance will trigger Fatal Time.
While in Fatal Time, you will be able to take repeated shots without using film (reload time and attack power will not be affected by the type of film in use).

Aggravated Wraiths

5200_30_01

During combat, wraiths will become aggravated. Aggravated wraiths will become enveloped in red malice, restoring their HP and making them attack both more frequently and with greater force.
Inflicting enough damage on an aggravated wraith will trigger Fatal Time (a chance for multiple shots in succession).

Special Shot

Each filter for the Camera Obscura has a Special Shot that consumes Willpower.

Photo Points

Inflicting damage on wraiths earns Photo Points.
Photo Points can be viewed on the Save screen under Spend Points. Here, they can be exchanged for items or other valuables.
Photo Points are shared between all saved data slots.
