During battles, characters may be affected by status changes or status effects. You can use the following controls to check a character's status.
Some status changes have positive effects, while others have negative effects.
Furthermore, some status changes end after a certain number of turns have passed, while others continue until either the battle ends or an item is used to clear them.

 | Physical Resistance Down | Lowers resistance to physical attacks. |
 | Magic Resistance Up | Raises resistance to magical attacks. |
 | Magic Resistance Down | Lowers resistance to magical attacks. |
 | Fire Resistance Up | Raises resistance to fire attacks. |
 | Fire Resistance Down | Lowers resistance to fire attacks. |
 | Ice Resistance Up | Raises resistance to ice attacks. |

 | Bolt Resistance Up | Raises resistance to bolt attacks. |
 | Bolt Resistance Down | Lowers resistance to bolt attacks. |
 | Air Resistance Up | Raises resistance to air attacks. |
 | Air Resistance Down | Lowers resistance to air attacks. |
 | Paralysis | The afflicted unit has a set chance to be unable to act during their turn. |
 | Sleep | The afflicted unit will become unable to act and will take extra damage if attacked. Being hit by an attack will wake the sleeping unit. |
 | Taunt | The afflicted unit can only target the unit that inflicted taunt. |
 | Poison | The afflicted unit takes a set amount of damage at the start of their turn. |
 | Burns | The afflicted unit takes a set amount of damage at the start of their turn. Burns do not naturally heal as turns pass. |
 | Blindness | Lowers the accuracy of the afflicted unit's attacks. |
 | Daze | The afflicted unit will be unable to act during their next turn. |
 | Frostbite | Attacks that hit the afflicted unit are guaranteed to be critical hits. |
 | Protection | Receive an attack that is intended for an ally. |
