Ambitious new features were added such as Versus Mode, where 2 players could compete under four different rules; Edit Mode, where custom officers can be created; and duels on the battlefield. In addition, the series continued to evolve and branch out with unique weapon units such as rams, catapults and juggernauts, and additional attacks such as jumping charges and Charge Rush.
