Good relationships can be of great benefit in many situations. There are also destined relationships that can be Synergetic or Antagonistic.
Trust
You can improve your trust levels with other officers by interacting with them, holding banquets, and collaborating on domestic actions.
There are seven levels of trust. From lowest to highest, they are: Hostile < Disinterested < Unaware < Acquainted < Friendly < Trusting < Devoted.
Increasing your trust with other officers will earn you their assistance with training and on missions, as well as enable you to establish special relationships such as marriage and sworn sibling bonds.
Note: Unaware is only applicable to officers who haven't met. Once they meet, the relationship will never return to Unaware.
Benefits of Improving Trust Levels
- · Able to establish special relationships, such as marriage and sworn sibling bonds
- · Close officers can link with you during domestic actions and training
- · Receive Wisdom from Devoted officers whose trust is at maximum
How to Improve Trust Levels
- · Have conversations or give gifts when interacting with officers at home or the inn
- · Hold banquets from home
Devoted Officers and Imparted Wisdom
You need a Symbol of Friendship to earn an officer's devotion. Symbols of Friendship can be acquired when public attitude in a city facility reaches 100.
When an officer's trust level is Trusting, raise their trust to maximum and gift them a Symbol of Friendship. This will turn your relationship into a Devoted one, and the officer will impart Wisdom onto you.
Devoted officers will also impart Wisdom each time the Devotion Gauge is filled. The type of Wisdom passed on varies depending on the officer.
Linking and Assistance
Officers with high trust will sometimes link with you or offer you their assistance.
Both linking and assistance will give you an advantage in various situations.
Linking
Links may be formed between officers with a trust level of Trusting and above, as well as officers with Synergetic relationships.
They can occur and grant benefits during missions, training, and battles.
Assistance
Sworn Siblings
Holding discussions with Devoted officers may allow you to become sworn siblings.
You can have up to three sworn siblings.
Sworn siblings have the following benefits:
- · A Synergetic relationship
- · Increased effects when cooperating on missions and training
- · May form links when attacking during battle
- · May provide assistance
- · Events exclusive to sworn siblings will occur
etc.

After a child is born, various special events regarding child-rearing will occur up until the child is registered as an officer.
Exceptional will be displayed next to Stats where your child is expected to see good growth, and Genius will be displayed where extraordinary growth is expected. These can be confirmed for each child in Child Info. A child's stats will grow gradually with each passing year.
If you are a part of a force, your child will join the same force when they become old enough to appear as an officer. You can also change the character you control to the child.
Note: You can view the progress of a child's growth via the Child option in the Info menu.

Sworn Enemies
If you kill an enemy officer's blood relative, sworn sibling, spouse, parent, or child, you will become the sworn enemy of that officer. However, if the relationship between the enemy officer and the individual you killed was negative, they may not make you their sworn enemy.
You may be challenged to a duel when you and your sworn enemy meet.
Synergetic
People with whom you can have a relationship based on mutual sympathy and attraction.
Occurs incidentally when you meet or interact with an officer.
A Synergetic relationship will occur when Sympathy is triggered four times while interacting with the same officer. It also occurs when you form special relationships, such as marriage and sworn sibling bonds.
The more compatible two officers are to begin with, the more likely it is that Sympathy will be triggered.
If your reputation level is low, you will only have up to four slots for Synergetic relationships.
You will unlock additional slots when your maximum reputation reaches 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 (maximum 8 slots).

etc.
Conditions for Antagonistic Relationships

- · Trust level is "Acquainted" or below
- · Your opponent is above a certain level in an ability that corresponds to your strongest ability
- · More likely to be triggered with incompatible officers
Antagonistic Relationships between Rulers
When you are a ruler, you may develop an Antagonistic relationship with another ruler at the beginning of a new season.
Resolving Antagonistic Relationships
You can end Antagonistic relationships by unlocking the Common type Gem Reconciliation and then sending that officer a gift.
There are also certain events that allow you to end Antagonistic relationships.
